Region 5. Neches Regional Flood Planning Group

As LNVA’s Regional Flood Planning Program Manager, I coordinate the sponsor responsibilities that support the Neches Regional Flood Planning Group under the State of Texas Regional Flood Planning Program. My role is to ensure the Group has the administrative structure, information, and support needed to fulfill its statutory responsibilities and advance a transparent, data-driven regional flood plan.

I manage public meetings, consultant coordination, documentation, grant and contract requirements, and all compliance obligations required by the Texas Water Development Board. I also maintain the RFPG’s public-facing communications, website, and records to support community engagement and ensure open access to planning materials.

My work centers on facilitating collaboration, promoting public participation, and helping the RFPG strengthen long-term flood resilience across the Neches basin. Whether assisting local partners, guiding stakeholders through the process, or coordinating technical development, my goal is to support planning that is accessible, accountable, and effective for the communities we serve.

The RFPG welcomes public engagement and participation throughout the planning cycle. Community insight is essential to developing a regional flood plan that reflects local needs and priorities. Residents, local officials, and stakeholders are encouraged to:

• Sign up for meeting notifications
• Attend public meetings
• Register to speak or provide oral public comment
• Submit written comments on planning materials
• Access documents, reports, and data
• Request records under the Texas Public Information Act
• Nominate themselves or others for membership when vacancies arise
